Our Year 12 Graphics students recently had a project to produce plans for a proposed refurbishment of our middle school classrooms. These students have developed the plans on their student laptops using Archicad and Artlantis then produced virtual tours of the proposed spaces for our recent open night. Visitors where able to then see the spaces proposed refurbishment for 2013.
The students started with the existing floor plans and spent some time in ArchiCad (software provided on our Student laptops) making the required changes. The software Artlantis was then used to create the 3D renders of the environment allowing them to create augmented reality tours of the proposed space viewable on iPads using the app iVisit 3D. We are very proud of the student’s work and appreciate their thoughts in developing plans for this new learning space.
The video below is an overview of this project.
